Alabama Mental Health-Retardation Review is a monthly newsletter published by the Department. It contains news of activities, meetings, mental health events, research, staff members and others in the field in the state; and informative articles on programs, treatments, etc. Illustrated, it was formerly titled Alabama Mental Health and merged with Alabama Alcoholism Review to become Alabama Mental Health Review. It was originally published by the Department of Public Health, Division of Mental Hygiene. The new title reflects the increased emphasis on mental retardation.
